I don’t know but major #throwbackthursday | and can I just explain how I did not like my lips back in the days, I didn’t like my hair being too thick and I didn’t like taking pictures from the side. All of that, I grow up to love and accept who I’m and how I look. You should as well. I got melanin for free, I got plum lips for free and curly thick hair for free. Why have I been complaining? Black girls, we rock. We are amazing and we should give ourselves more credit and stop hating on each other. We cannot ask for peace from other races while having war with each other.

I have been feeling so good within myself lately, that I have been smiling so much and I even asked myself: why are you smiling so much? Like is my happiness shining through my big teeth?

You try to destroy me but you have know idea who raised me and who’s genes I’m carrying. | my mum always said: you dad was very fearless in life and now when I see myself I know what she means. I’m powerful and nobody can’t or will ever take that away from me. Ever.

This is a plate, a plate full of goodness. People assume I don’t eat because the way I look, but I eat more than most people just to let you know. I also eat chocolate like a fat kid in my bed before I go to my deepest unknown dreams (if you know what I mean). | Caribbean vegan food is the best food ever.
